We are committed to cultivating an authentically Christian learning environment where faith, learning, and creativity converge. Our mission is to empower students to discover their God-given potential, engage meaningfully with the world, and lead with integrity and compassion.
We seek to provide a Christ-centered education for students, whereby children are introduced to the love of Jesus and truth of God's Word each day (Deut. 6:7). It is the desire of our staff to not only teach these precious truths of God's Word to students at a young age but also to be a living example to the children in faith, love, word, deed, and conduct (1 Tim. 4:11-12). In response to these sacred truths, we endeavor to provide children ample opportunities to respond in worship of Our Creator, through art projects, Scripture memorization, and regular times of praise and singing together (Ps. 113:3).
Our founding teachers have over 100 combined years of teaching experience and extensive training and expertise in proven, alternative teaching methods such as Reggio Emilia (interactive, collaborative learning that is student-focused). That is just one of the reasons why this is such a unique opportunity.

Canton Christian School is designed to provide an innovative educational experience, offering a full-time program for grades 1-3 as well as a curated, hybrid homeschool program for the elementary age group. We also offer preschool and three or five day Kindergarten.
One Eternal God, Three Persons: God the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 1:9-14, 17; 1 John 5:7)
The Bible: God’s primary source of revelation to us consists of sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments. His Word is infallible and inerrant (Psalm 18:30; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12-13, 6:18).
The Gospel: The good news that Jesus Christ died in the place of sinners and has redeemed by His blood those who believe on His name and repent of their sins (Mark 1:15; Romans 5:8). The truth that Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation (John 14:6).
Mankind: All are made in the image of God and, therefore, have incredible worth (Genesis 1:27). Creating two beings, male and female, God has a distinct purpose in revealing His attributes to the world through two unique sexes (Genesis 1:27). All humanity are sinners in need of the salvation God offers freely to those who accept Him as Savior (Romans 3:23).
The World: Created & sustained by the power of God’s word (Genesis 1; Hebrews 1:3). Like mankind, the world was created “good” but now suffers the effects of the Fall (Genesis 3). Under the influence of Satan, the prince of the power of this world, individuals are deceived and blinded to the light of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4). Believers are called to live a life characterized by love for the lost (Matthew 5:43-45).
The dedicated and passionate teachers at Canton Christian School play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and enriching educational environment that sets the school apart. Their unwavering commitment, personalized attention to each student, and genuine care for their well-being make them an integral part of what makes CCS truly special.

Erin Lindsey has a Masters in Teaching Technology and has been teaching since 2006. She's been a Title One Teacher, a kindergarten teacher for about 10 years and 4 years as a preschool teacher. Miss Erin most recently trained in the Orton Gillingham reading approach over the summer and has been taking classes on the science of reading. She's spoken at conferences, been a part of many committees and headed up assemblies. Miss Erin's favorite thing about teaching is making her classroom feel like a family. Creating lasting friendships with her students and parents is the best part of the job. She also loves to be creative in her teaching. You’ll often find her singing, dancing and with kids playing in her room, but they are learning the whole time, every step of the way. When not at school, Miss Erin enjoys helping with her church, doing Bible study, running, and creating memories with her family. She's most looking forward to our new school and the close relationships we will build together creating something new and exciting!
Erica Laughman holds a BS in Elementary Education from Malone University. She has 20 years of teaching experience in preschool, first grade, second grade and art. Miss Erica enjoys teaching art and creating play based learning environments for children that foster their creativity and curiosity. When children are curious, they will investigate. When they investigate, they make discoveries. When they make discoveries, they are thinking and they are learning. Play IS learning! Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, reading and creating many different kinds of art. Miss Erica is very grateful for this new opportunity at CCS. She is looking forward to a great school year and is so excited to see God’s plans unfold on this new adventure! God is good all the time - all the time God is good!!
