Our Mission: Educating the Next Generation of Leaders with Faith,
Purpose, and Creativity

We are committed to cultivating an authentically Christian learning environment where faith, learning, and creativity converge. Our mission is to empower students to discover their God-given potential, engage meaningfully with the world, and lead with integrity and compassion.

CHRIST-CENTERED

We seek to provide a Christ-centered education for students, whereby children are introduced to the love of Jesus and truth of God's Word each day (Deut. 6:7). It is the desire of our staff to not only teach these precious truths of God's Word to students at a young age but also to be a living example to the children in faith, love, word, deed, and conduct (1 Tim. 4:11-12). In response to these sacred truths, we endeavor to provide children ample opportunities to respond in worship of Our Creator, through art projects, Scripture memorization, and regular times of praise and singing together (Ps. 113:3).

HIGHLY QUALIFIED TEACHERS

Our founding teachers have over 100 combined years of teaching experience and extensive training and expertise in proven, alternative teaching methods such as Reggio Emilia (interactive, collaborative learning that is student-focused). That is just one of the reasons why this is such a unique opportunity.

UNIQUE EDUCATION

By integrating principles from the Reggio Emilia approach with our
Christian faith, we view children as capable, curious learners who
express themselves in many “languages” — through art, play,
exploration, and discovery.

Our classrooms are brimming with natural light, adorned with colorful, ever-changing student projects, and equipped with hands-on materials that encourage exploration. Teachers guide rather than dictate, and learning grows through collaboration with peers, teachers, and our local community.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

One Eternal God, Three Persons: God the Father, Son, & Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 1:9-14, 17; 1 John 5:7)

  • The Father: The all-wise, unchanging, perfect, and holy Creator of all things (Revelation 4:11).
  • The Son: The world was made through Him & for Him (Colossians 1:16); our Great High Priest pleads before the Throne on our behalf (Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:22-25).
  • The Holy Spirit: Regenerates believers and empowers us to become more like Christ (Romans 8:1-2); intercedes for us in prayer (Romans 8:26-27).

The Bible: God’s primary source of revelation to us consists of sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments. His Word is infallible and inerrant (Psalm 18:30; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12-13, 6:18).

The Gospel: The good news that Jesus Christ died in the place of sinners and has redeemed by His blood those who believe on His name and repent of their sins (Mark 1:15; Romans 5:8). The truth that Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation (John 14:6).

Mankind:
All are made in the image of God and, therefore, have incredible worth (Genesis 1:27). Creating two beings, male and female, God has a distinct purpose in revealing His attributes to the world through two unique sexes (Genesis 1:27). Marriage is between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:22-24; Ephesians 5:25). All humanity are sinners in need of the salvation God offers freely to those who accept Him as Savior (Romans 3:23).

The World: Created & sustained by the power of God’s word (Genesis 1; Hebrews 1:3). Like mankind, the world was created “good” but now suffers the effects of the Fall (Genesis 3). Under the influence of Satan, the prince of the power of this world, individuals are deceived and blinded to the light of the Gospel (2 Corinthians 4:4). Believers are called to live a life characterized by love for the lost (Matthew 5:43-45).

WHAT OUR FAMILIES SAY ABOUT CCS

Canton Christian school is exactly what we hope for in a school for our children. Kids can stay kids while also learning the developmentally appropriate skills they need academically and socially. I have been very impressed by the intentional focus towards our children’s management of emotions and how the teachers challenge them to be their best selves. I can’t say enough about how our children are loved and taught according to their unique needs. We are honored and blessed to be a part of this school.

- Rachel Long

Although my children did not attend Canton Christian School directly, they were fortunate enough to learn from the incredible teachers there from Kindergarten through third grade. These educators follow a Reggio Emilia approach, which helped lay a strong foundation for my children’s academic success. Thanks to this philosophy, my children have become lifelong learners and creative problem-solvers.

As someone with two master’s degrees in education, I can confidently say these teachers are exceptional in every way. They nurture curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking with a compassionate and thoughtful teaching style. I cannot recommend these teachers highly enough for anyone looking for a supportive and enriching educational experience for their children.

Thank you to the educators at Canton Christian School for making such a profound impact on our family!

- Tiffany DeBois

Canton Christian School is the best private Christian school in the area. What separates the school from others is a number of things. First are its teachers, not only are they all amazing teachers with over (100 years combined teaching), but they are all Christ followers that truly live out their faith. Second is the school partnership with Malone University, the access to resources and collaboration are truly amazing with the school. Finally the leadership at the school is well rounded and most importantly transparent and collaborative with families. As someone that has looked at all the private Christian schools in the area and been a part of a few. Canton Christian truly checks the box on all levels and really lives out its mission.
